I reinvigorated the board, rewrote the founding documents, and established member responsibilities. In my time as Chair, I launched a parking pass subsidization program, worked with CUPD to find safer night ride options for graduate students, fought for improved access to mental and physical health resources, and organized community-building events like this one for graduate students!

I wrote, circulated, and represented a petition to the Aerospace department to make our academic climate more inclusive. This resulted in several lasting changes including the Inclusive Culture Committee. I created and served as the DEI Chair position in Aerospace Graduate Student Organization and I coordinated with groups across campus to create financial and community-based supports for students.
I worked at the Colorado State Capitol for a summer as a legislative intern through the Colorado Science & Engineering Policy Fellowship. As a legislative intern, I researched and proposed a policy on social media addiction prevention to the state legislature and the Department of Education. I am passionate about using my engineering background to inform public policy, especially on issues that impact youth, technology use, and public well-being.
I started this committee of graduate students to advise the College of Engineering and Applied Science. We are creating guidelines for the use of Large Language Models in courses and research.

As a Brookie Class of 2018, I started an outreach program for K-12 students that are interested in space! This program has helped connect hundreds of students to mentors and is still very active today!
I served as a student representative on the Mechanical Engineering Student Advisory Council and the Engineering Design Division Student Advisory Board. I contributed to improving the undergraduate engineering student experience by creating mid-semester instructor feedback surveys and supporting curriculum adjustments.
I was granted this award in May 2019 for my service!
